Knightley eyes stage role

Actress Keira Knightley is considering swapping the big screen for the London stage. The Pirates of the Caribbean star insists that she would love to put her acting skills to the test in front of a live audience. But she is determined to make her appearance in the capital's West End as low key as possible.
She says, "I can't quite handle the idea of 'Screen actress in big West End hit' and all that.
"I would prefer to do something smaller, maybe at the Bush (theatre Bush Hall), which is one of my favourite theatres."

Keira Knightley’s Sienna sadness

Keira Knightley admits she has lost touch with Sienna Miller since they filmed ‘Edge Of Love’.
Keira, who played Vera Phillips in the Dylan Thomas biopic, revealed the pair have drifted apart, despite enjoying a close friendship on set.
She said: “I love Sienna, I think she’s a wonderful actress, but we’ve been like two passing ships in the night recently. “I think that’s lovely but also sad about acting. You get incredibly close to people and as soon as it’s over you don’t see each other. “I don't think I'm very good at figuring out female friendships. I think they're quite tricky to navigate.” ... COMEDIAN SORRY FOR KNIGHTLEY SEX JOKE

Actress KEIRA KNIGHTLEY has received an apology from British comedian JAMES CORDEN after he boasted of a three-day sex marathon with the ATONEMENT star. Corden, who co-writes and stars in U.K. TV comedy Gavin + Stacey, made the remark after announcing Knightley had won the Best Actress Award at The Sony Ericsson Empire Awards in March (08), reports ContactMusic.
Introducing Knightley's previously-recorded acceptance speech, he told the audience at the London ceremony he had recently indulged in repeated sessions of "sensual lovemaking" and "solid shagging (sex)" with the star.
But Corden is now attempting to make amends for the joke - after Knightley ignored him at a recent showbiz party.
He says, "Truly, I thought about doing that (the sex joke) 20 seconds before I went up (to present the award). On my life, it just came out. "It really was a joke. I would like to know she did know that. I think she's great."

Film star Keira Knightley has told how she talks frankly about sex - with her mum, The Pirates of the Caribbean star, 23, described her Scottish playwright mother Sharman Macdonald, 57, as a "chilled-out hippy", reports The Mirror.
Keira said:"Mum and I would always talk about sex. "She'd come up to my room, have me roll her cigarettes and then tell me I had to have one with her. It's not the typical mother-daughter thing but we're extremely close."

Keira chases Cameron on best paid actress list after earning £16 million

Pirates star Keira Knightley has enough pieces of silver to buy herself a couple of Caribbean islands should she want to. The British beauty has been named the second highest paid actress in Hollywood last year, just behind Cameron Diaz.
According to Forbes magazine, the 23-year-old Londoner earned £16 million - just £9 million less than Shrek princess Cameron - with roles in the final instalment of the swashbuckling trilogy At World's End and Oscar-nominated Atonement.
She came out ahead of Reese Witherspoon, Meryl Streep and Angelina Jolie, who was placed tenth on the list with a 2007 pay packet of £7 million.

Keira Nominated @ MTV Movie Awards

Soon the nominations will be announced for the MTV Movie Awards, which take place in L.A. on June 1. Two categories are of keenest interest, of course: best villain and smoochers!
The villains' slugfest will be a delightfully dastardly smackdown between those Oscar-grabbing devils Javier Bardem ("No Country for Old Men") and Daniel Day-Lewis ("There Will Be Blood"). Hmmm . . . I sure hope we see that played out on stage with Javier thrusting that cattle gun at Daniel while Daniel smacks his skull with a bowling pin. Can you think of any scene that would better sum up — in so many enlightening ways — what the whole recent Oscar derby was all about? ... Read More ...

Knightley goes up against her co-star Romola Garai for the Best Actress award, while James MCAvoy - who plays her love interest - is nominated in the Best Actor category. The 22-year-old actress, who is known for her love of posing naked, once again appears provocative, with one cover revealing her well-toned navel while wearing a denim bondage suit.
In 2006, Keira stripped completely for a Vanity Fair cover alongside actress Scarlett Johansson, and has since done racy shoots for Coco Chanel and Interview magazine.
In another W cover photo, she poses with Atonement co-star James McAvoy.
