Knightley Brought Back Down To Earth

British film star Keira Knightley was brought back down to earth after hearing of her Golden Globe nomination on Tuesday - when her mother told her she wouldn't win.
The 20-year-old beauty is up against Dame Judi Dench, Laura Linney, Sarah Jessica Parker and Reese Witherspoon in the Best Actress - Musical Or Comedy category at the January ceremony.

Knightley signs up to star in Silk

According to her agent, Keira Knightley - who has been Golden Globe nominated for her role in Austen's 'Pride and Prejudice' - is to star in a film adaptation of Alessandro Baricco's bestselling novel 'Silk'.
'Silk' is set in the 1860s and tells the story of French merchant Herve Joncour who leaves his young wife, Helene (Knightley), in order to travels in search of silkworms in Japan after plague has destroyed the silkworms in the Middle East and Africa.
While there Joncour befriends a wealthy Japanese trader and falls in love with his beautiful European concubine. The film will be directed by Francois Girard ('The Red Violin'), who has adapted the screenplay after a first draft was completed by Baricco.
Filming is set to start in spring 2006 when Knightley finishes work on 'The Pirates of the Caribbean' sequels. Source: Rte.ie Entertainment

Figuring in eight categories including best picture, Ang Lee's "Brokeback Mountain" dominated the nominations announced Sunday for the 11th annual Critics' Choice Awards. Voted on by the Broadcast Film Critics Assn. -- with 200 members, the group is comprised of television, radio and online critics -- the winners will be announced January 9 at ceremonies at the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium, hosted by Dennis Miller, to air live at 8 p.m. on WB Network.

KEIRA KNIGHTLEY is pleased she exposed her nipple at the premiere of her movie PRIDE + PREJUDICE, because she wants the world to see her body while she's still young. The 20-year-old beauty refuses to be embarrassed about the boob last month, and even wishes she had exposed her whole breast.
She says, "I was at the premiere of my new film Pride & Prejudice, a few weeks ago when part of my left breast popped out of my dress, in full view of the paparazzi.
"It was just a little bit of flesh, but it would have been better if the whole thing had escaped.
"Still, my view is that if you're going to bare your breasts to the world, it's better to do so at 20, when you're still in good shape."

The pair were rumoured to be dating following her split from model beau Jamie Dornan in August. Knightley is now back with Dornan, but insists Bodyrockers singer James was never on the scene. She says, "I've never met him. Never. "I only know about him because I've become rather obsessed with it, and I keep looking on the internet." Apparently he has dumped me now. It's the easiest breakup I've been through!"
