Biz Buzz; 'Pirates 3' may dock at dunes for shoot

The third installment of the "Pirates of the Caribbean" film series will likely have a few scenes shot at the Guadalupe Dunes, according to Martine White, Santa Barbara County's film commissioner.
The filming -- which is expected to take a few days -- will happen sometime this fall. It's not known whether the movie's all-star cast, which includes Johnny Depp, Orlando Bloom and Keira Knightley, will be part of the shoot.

ACTRESS Keira Knightley has revealed how movie distributors increased the size of her breasts for US posters. "Those things certainly weren't mine," the naturally flat-chested starlet said of US promotional material for her 2004 film King Arthur.
In comparison to the British shots, she said US movie chiefs wanted to make her breasts slightly larger, and she told them: "OK, fine."
Knightley also said women weren't allowed to be on the cover of a magazine in the US unless they measured up.

'Pirates' sets record for biggest opening

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest surpassed virtually every box-office debut achievement on record this weekend, capturing the biggest opening in movie history.
The Johnny Depp adventure took in a staggering $132 million in its first three days, according to studio estimates from box-office trackers Nielsen EDI.
The debut easily shatters the record held by 2002's Spider-Man, which opened to $114.8 million.
The milestones didn't stop there. The sequel to the 2003 smash became the first film to rake in $100 million in two days. Keira Knightley did all her own stunts in 'Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest'.
The British actress was so keen to swash some buckles she begged the director, Gore Verbinski, for more fight scenes.
She told BANG Showbiz: "I loved it. I wanted more action in this film. I was desperate to have sword fights all the way through. They did give me one but I don't think I was very good because I didn't get as many as I thought I would.
"I really do love action and I do think that if you're doing an action film you should do as much of the action as possible."
Last week, Keira revealed she almost turned down a part in the 'Pirates of the Caribbean' series. The actress was concerned about taking the part of plucky damsel-in-distress Elizabeth Swann because the movie was based on a theme park ride.

Yahoo! India News reports British actress Keira Knightley is planning to take a sabbatical from films, as she is worried that her 'workaholic' attitude may leave her hating the film industry.
Knightley, who recently reprised her role as Elizabeth Swann in the 'Pirates of the Caribbean' sequel, said that she now wants to devote some time to her personal life.
"I know I've been like a workaholic and I really don't have time for much. My greatest fear is that I'll wake up at 50 and will have worked a lot but won't have lived", Contactmusic quoted her, as saying.
"The last five years have blended into one. I can't tell you what the last year was and what the year before that was. It's just one big long film set".
"In some ways that is wonderful. I love my job. I really love what I do. But I'm quite frightened that if I continue at this rate I will start to hate what I love", she added.
The 21-year-old actress is dating her 'Pride and Prejudice' co-star Rupert Friend.

'Pirates' sets 1-day box office record

LOS ANGELES - Move over Darth Vader. Captain Jack Sparrow is king for a day. Preliminary estimates released by Disney show that "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest" earned $55.5 million on Friday, which would set the record for the largest one-day take at the box office.
The previous record was set last year by "Star Wars: Episode III — Revenge of the Sith," which grossed about $50 million.
