Pirates of the Caribbean make a lot, but don't break records

It was a good day's plunder for "Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End," but not good enough for the movie to set a record.
Johnny Depp and his pirate friends pulled in a king's ransom yesterday: $$43 million in the US.
That's well below "Spider-Man 3's" nearly $$59.5 million take, just three weeks ago.
The pirates do have an excuse though. Walt Disney previewed screenings at about 3,000 theaters Thursday night before the official release, and netted $$14 million. That's 57 (m) dollars in the two days combined.

Johnny Depp found kissing Keira Knightley "awkward"!

Most men would give an arm and a leg to kiss Keira Knightley. However, Johnny Depp doesn't happen to be one of them.
The actor, who locked lips with Knightley in the second movie in the 'Pirates of the Caribbean' trilogy, 'Dead Man's Chest', admits that he found the whole experience very "awkward", because the British beauty happens to be much younger than him.

Keira Knightley clashed with Atonement director Joe Wright because they could not agree on which character she should play.
The actress refused to play the part of Briony in the adaptation of Ian McEwan's novel because she wanted to take on the more challenging role of Cecilia.

Keira Knightley Wins Anorexia Libel Claim Against British Tabloid

Keira Knightley has accepted a $6,000 settlement of her libel claim against a British tabloid over a story that suggested she was to blame for the death of an anorexic teenager.
The actress also said the story falsely suggested that she had an eating disorder.
Kate Wilson, representing the publisher of the Daily Mail, Associated Newspapers, told a court Thursday the newspaper accepted that Knightley was not responsible for a death, and that Knightley "does not have an eating disorder, and has not misled the public." ... Read More ...

She says, "I've become phobic about red carpet events because you just get so scrutinised and all I think is I'm going to be in the Top 10 Worst Dressed List tomorrow.

The Oscar nominated 'Pride and Prejudice' star revealed that filming a sex scene was a piece of cake for her, especially the one in 'Domino', for she had hunky Venezuelan star Edgar Ramirez keeping her company.
