Keira Nominated @ MTV Movie Awards
-Posted by: Quivi
Soon the nominations will be announced for the MTV Movie Awards, which take place in L.A. on June 1. Two categories are of keenest interest, of course: best villain and smoochers!
The villains' slugfest will be a delightfully dastardly smackdown between those Oscar-grabbing devils Javier Bardem ("No Country for Old Men") and Daniel Day-Lewis ("There Will Be Blood"). Hmmm . . . I sure hope we see that played out on stage with Javier thrusting that cattle gun at Daniel while Daniel smacks his skull with a bowling pin. Can you think of any scene that would better sum up — in so many enlightening ways — what the whole recent Oscar derby was all about? ... Read More ...

Keira Knightley's American dream continues with her latest photoshoot for W magazine.
The 22-year-old actress, who is known for her love of posing naked, once again appears provocative, with one cover revealing her well-toned navel while wearing a denim bondage suit.
In 2006, Keira stripped completely for a Vanity Fair cover alongside actress Scarlett Johansson, and has since done racy shoots for Coco Chanel and Interview magazine.
In another W cover photo, she poses with Atonement co-star James McAvoy.

And the Nominees Are....
-Posted by: Quivi
Everyone knew There Would Be Blood and there would be Daniel Day-Lewis for Best Actor but no one could anticipate that there would be so many surprises! First, Keira Knightley (Atonement) and Angelina Jolie (A Mighty Heart) were both shut out of the Best Actress race while Ellen Page scored a nod for her brilliant performance in Juno — seriously, see this movie! Jamie Lynn Spears has! Rounding out the Best Actress race is Cate Blanchett for the blah Elizabeth: The Golden Age (she was also nominated for Best Supporting Actress in the far superior I'm Not There), Marion Cotillard for La Vie En Rose, Laura Linney for The Savages and inevitable winner Julie Christie for Away From Her.
Also surprising was a Best Actor nomination for Tommy Lee Jones for In the Valley of Elah — I know, you're thinking "what movie is that?" Well, trust us; you're going to hear all about it soon thanks to this nom and its February 19 release on DVD. Joining Tommy and Daniel in the Best Actor race is George Clooney for Michael Clayton (the little movie that could), Johnny Depp for Sweeney Todd and Viggo Mortensen for Eastern Promises. ... Keira's "Lady Garden"
-Posted by: Quivi
Keira Knightley dishes to Entertainment Weekly about the steamy sex scene between her and James McAvoy in Atonement that has everyone in the entertainment world abuzz. "Our job is to make sure that there's chemistry," Keira said. "And if you're working with somebody who you get on with, and you're on the same page as far as where your characters are going emotionally, you will get it." You can read more of the 22-year-old's juicy, potty-mouthed thoughts on Atonement.
On shooting the love scene: "You have to believe that they will wait for each other for five years based on that one moment. So it had to be erotic, and it had to be passionate enough. We talked about it a lot. Most directors just go, 'Oh, you know what to do. Just get on with it.' Well, actually, I don’t know what to do. This is a relative stranger, and I’m in front of a group of strangers and I don’t know what to do. Joe was incredibly precise. He had storyboarded the whole thing: My foot coming out of my shoe, biting my lip at the end, the way my head turns — that was all completely him. ... Read More ...

Knightley laments end of the posh British accent
-Posted by: Quivi
Keira Knightley laments the demise of the posh British accent - after adopting one for her role in Atonement.
The star, 22, plays an upper class Briton in the World War II drama, and while she found it a challenge to change her everyday speech for the role, she admits the experience was an eye-opener.
She says, "It's a bit jarring. You don't hear that accent in Britain any more. After the 1950s it suddenly became uncool to sound that posh.
"But it's such an incredible style. Virtually without pauses. Today's style is sort of pseudonaturalist, but actually not at all." Source: Yahoo! News

Knightley will go back to college
-Posted by: Quivi
Keira Knightley is planning to go back to university when her Hollywood career starts to dwindle.
The Atonement actress, 22, is convinced the hype surrounding her will eventually subside - but it's this unpredictability that excites her so much about her current profession.
And Knightley refuses to fear the end of her movie career, insisting she'll merely pick a new profession of choice and study about it in college.
She tells OK! magazine, "I think it (film acting) is a profession that gets blown up and down in an instant, and that's cool, and for me, that's what I find beautiful about it. ... Read More ...

KNIGHTLEY: 'I'M TOO INDEPENDENT TO MARRY'
-Posted by: Quivi
ContactMusic reports KEIRA KNIGHTLEY has ruled out the prospect of marriage in the near-future - because she's been brought up to support herself. The 22-year-old actress - who's in a longterm relationship with actor Rupert Friend - has heeded the advice of her mother Sharman MACDonald, who advised her against depending on men for financial and emotional support. She tells OK! magazine, "I'm from a very liberal upbringing. My mum's like, 'No, you get a job, you support yourself, never look to a man to support you.' "I think getting married and having children would be lovely. But not right now or really any time soon."

Keira Knightley tops British beauty icons of 2007
-Posted by: Quivi
Keira Knightley has topped a poll of beautiful women beating Kate Moss and Kelly Brook.
The former Teddington School and Esher College student beat the supermodel and TV presenter in a Superdrug survey carried out earlier this month.
Glam model Jordan managed to pip Paris Hilton to the number 10 slot in the poll of 2,500 people.
Superdrug's beauty director Katherine Le Clerc said: "The top 10 beauty icons list shows that today there is room for everyone's idea of true beauty.
"From the aloof glamour of Keira Knightley and Victoria Beckham's high-maintenance gloss to the fresh faced youthful looks of Fearne Cotton, Holly Willoughby and Gemma Atkinson." - China Daily
